Beloit and Beyond Bike Tour now in its seventh year is a free ride thanks to the hard work and dedication of its all-volunteer committee.

In each of its first years, the tour hosted over 100 riders and due to popular demand, the tour is back and the routes this year are better than ever!

All rides begin and end in beautiful downtown Beloit starting at 6:00 a.m. behind Beloit Bicycle Company 110 W. Grand Avenue on August 19th.

For those who enjoy a longer ride through Wisconsin’s rolling hills adorned with sunflower fields, dairy cows, and farmland, we will once again ride from Beloit through Brodhead and on to New Glarus.

Feel free to push yourself and choose distances for these routes ranging from 25 miles/50 miles/100 miles. We have worked hard to have the gentle breezes blowing at your back both coming and going.

Along with the blessings of the favorable breezes, we have a fully supported ride with a SAG wagon provided by Greg Wicklund of the Beloit Bicycle Company and other support vehicles monitoring all routes throughout the day.

For added ease of mind there are six water stops along the route as well as contact numbers on rider wristbands in case a rider needs support.

Beloit and Beyond Bike Tour - Committee

This committee plans every detail so that riders may enjoy a care-free day of riding.

The New Glarus ride is for the more daring riders as the “demon hills” near New Glarus present a real challenge. We like to say that riders choosing the road to New Glarus are able to “conquer their demons”.

Riders may also take the Sugar River Bike Trail from Brodhead to New Glarus with a State Trail Pass available in Brodhead for $5. Note: The Sugar River State trail has sections that are not paved and can me rocky. This may not be suitable for road bikes.

The routes are well-plotted with markings on the pavement; lawn signs along the way; and turn-by-turn maps provided at the registration area and on our website.

Shuttle service back to Beloit is available from two locales and we ask you to register ahead of time either at registration or via the website.

Shuttle Service:

  • Brodhead – $15
  • New Glarus – $20.

Commemorative performance T-Shirts are also available Order one!
In its seventh year, this tour allows riders of all skill levels to participate.

Riders are strongly encouraged to wear helmets.
Routes will open at 6:00 a.m. and the route support will be available until 4:00 p.m.

Tax Deductible contributions may be made to the Stateline Community Foundation-Beloit and Beyond Bike Tour Pass through Fund to help support this biking even
